Terms & Conditions

Last updated September 21, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Boatie, a service run by Peggy Pan, doing business as Boatie ("Boatie," "we," "us"). By signing up on boatie.app or texting Boatie's number, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What Boatie is

Boatie is a personal check-in service. Once a week, Boatie asks you one question by text or by a short phone call. With your explicit approval each time, Boatie may send a short note about you to one person you have chosen, so they can reach out to you. Boatie never sends a message on your behalf to anyone, and never shares your exact words.

Your part

Our part

Boatie is not a crisis service

Boatie is not a substitute for professional care. If you or someone you know is in danger or thinking about self-harm, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.

Limitation of liability

Boatie is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Boatie, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.

Ending things

You can leave anytime by replying STOP or asking us to delete your account. We may end or pause your access if these Terms are broken.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@boatie.app. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
